Press Release: Grey’s Anatomy Episode 8×15 “Have You Seen Me Lately?”

Here’s the press release for the fifteenth episode of this season of Grey’s.

AMELIA SHEPHERD SEEKS OUT HER BIG BROTHER, DEREK, TO HELP SAVE ERICA’S LIFE, AND OWEN AND CRISTINA ENTER COUNSELING, ON A SPECIAL CROSSOVER EPISODE OF ABC’S “GREY’S ANATOMY”

“Have You Seen Me Lately?” – In a final attempt to save Erica’s life, Amelia arrives at Seattle Grace to beg Derek for help with the gliosarcoma case; Cristina and Owen engage in heated arguments during marriage counseling; Alex realizes that in order to be a good doctor, he’ll need to improve his people skills; and Meredith is given a chance to shine when a man enters the ER after getting his hand stuck in meat grinder. Meanwhile, the residents continue to study for their upcoming oral boards, on Grey’s Anatomy, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Grey’s Anatomy” stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan, Chyler Leigh as Lexie Grey, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Jessica Capshaw as Arizona Robbins, Kim Raver as Teddy Altman, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery and Sarah Drew as April Kepner.

Guest Starring Caterina Scorsone. Other guest cast TBA.

“Have You Seen Me Lately?” was written by Austin Guzman and directed by Tony Phelan.

I don’t watch Private Practice so I have no idea who Erica is, though I guess I will find out when this episode airs.  I really can’t wait to see who passes their boards and who doesn’t, kinda like the Intern Exams from Season 3.  We know not everybody will pass, so it will be interesting to see who those unlucky people are.  I’m also interested in the development in Owen and Cristina’s relationship.  I’m not sure if counseling will help them at all, but at least they’re apparently making an attempt to work out their issues.  This season has been shaping up to be pretty good so far, and this episode doesn’t sound any different.

Katherine Heigl on Grey’s, Animal Activism and More

Katherine Heigl has been out promoting her new film and, as we all know, has mentioned a desire to return to Grey’s.  But other things she has been discussing includes animal activism and her passion for this particular line of work.

The important thing, she says, is that fans understand that she still loves Izzie. “I wouldn’t want anyone to feel misled or feel confused by my answer and I just want everyone to know, ‘Hey I love that show and I love that character just as much as you do,'” she says.

Meanwhile, she’s been blogging about sex, marriage, and balancing career and family for iVillage. This week, she took things in a different direction with a blog about her passion for animal activism. We’ve already seen the Funny or Die “I Hate Balls” Video she did to encourage people to fix their pets.

“It was only four years ago that I became aware of the dire situation in our shelter systems and since then it has been immensely important to me to inform others who, like me, adore and respect their pets and would do anything to protect and shelter them but who are unaware of all the others in our country about animals suffering and dying needlessly,” she writes. “Four million healthy adoptable companion pets are being killed every year in our shelters due to overcrowding. I have faith, however, that animal lovers and activists at heart band together, we can change the statistics. The solutions can be complicated and seem impossible, but the reality is that there is something each one of us can do to help.”

This woman is just an all around amazing human being.  I wish her nothing but success in her career, she truly deserves everything that she gets!

Katherine Heigl: “I Miss Grey’s”

For the last week or so, the story of a potential return to Grey’s Anatomy for Katherine Heigl has been dominating a lot of celebrity headlines.  Recently, she mentioned that she missed the show and she was sorry that she left.

Two years after leaving the ABC medical drama, Heigl wants to re-join the show, now in its eighth season.

“I miss it. I miss my friends. It was a great work environment in that we all got along really well. It becomes a family. I spent six years with these people every day. We grew up in a way,” she said on “The View” on Monday, adding that she was sorry she left “Grey’s.”

I’m going to sound like a broken record, but I really hope she comes back.  Katherine Heigl is awesome and I really miss seeing her on Grey’s.  Ideally, I’d like to see her come back full time but even if she only came back for a handful of episodes, I’d be okay.  I just want her back!! #bringIzzieback2Greys

Katherine Heigl: “Izzie Meant A Lot To Me”

At the premiere of her latest movie “One For The Money”, Katherine Heigl further discussed returning to Grey’s Anatomy.

“I always thought that there would be an opportunity to go back [to the show] for at least a few episodes to sort of wrap it up in a way that everyone could feel good about,” Katherine told Access Hollywood at the premiere of her new movie, “One for the Money,” in Los Angeles on Tuesday. “As of now, we’re like, ‘Where did Izzie go? What is she doing?”… While there were rumors that the now-33-year-old was no longer happy playing the quirky young doctor at the time of her exit, Katherine said Izzie will always have a place in her heart. “I loved that character and she meant a lot to me,” she told Access.

It’s nice to know that she is genuine about wanting to return, I know there are people out there who doubt her.  But I think it would be wonderful if she came back, and I really hope Shonda Rhimes takes it into consideration.  Let’s use the power of Twitter to get her on our side, folks!!  Tweet #bringIzzieback2Greys and let’s make our voices heard!

Ratings Roundup: 90210, Grey’s Anatomy, Revenge

Okay, I’ve been trying to get into a groove this week with the blog and get my bearings with how I’m going to run things.  It’s been a bit overwhelming but I have things on track now.  Reviews and such will be coming at a much faster pace than they were this week, and I’m hoping to improve on my review style in general as time goes on.  The ratings won’t always be grouped up like this, I just wanted to get them out of the way for this week so we can start with a fresh slate tomorrow.  So, here we go!  And the ratings are…

90210

Viewers: 1.31 million

18-49 Rating: 0.6

Thoughts:  Well, this isn’t surprising.  CW numbers are terrible when compared to numbers from ABC, CBS and NBC but for the CW alone, these numbers are okay.  I’m not sure if it will be good enough to help 90210 get a renewal though, I really think a season 5 is going to be a long shot.

Revenge

Viewers: 7.58 million

18-49 Rating: 2.5

Thoughts:  Revenge has been pretty solid this entire season.  It has consistently been getting these ratings and I think it will definitely get picked up for a second season.

Grey’s Anatomy

Viewers: 9.32 million

18-49 Rating: 3.4

Thoughts: Grey’s has been doing awesome this season.  Even in its 8th season, it is pulling in strong numbers and is one of ABC’s highest rated shows and biggest money makers.  Season 9 is a lock, for sure.
